Complex Commercial Litigation: We act as counsel to BHP Billiton with respect to pension and contractual litigation. We act for the City of Waterloo on various complex claims by the City arising out of the $50 million financing RIM Park in Waterloo. We acted as counsel to Rio Algom Ltd. and its Board of Directors in the defence of an oppression claim advanced by holders of its convertible debentures in the context of a takeover bid. Our lawyers represented Kinross Gold Corp. and TVX Gold Inc. with respect to significant litigation over the Kassandra Mines in Greece.
